With October finally here, Fortnite appears to be getting into the Halloween spirit as decorations have started popping up all over the map, including popular locations like Pleasant Park and Tilted Towers. Players have begun seeing things like giant spiders on front lawns, webs stuck to the side of fences or houses, and even little ghosts hanging from roofs or streetlamps. Jack-o-lanterns have also been spotted hanging out on various steps in named locations as well....

Fortnite Galaxy Scout Skin As mentioned above, the Galaxy Scout skin is a tie-in with the Galaxy cup event. Both of these events are promotions for the new Samsung Galaxy 5G phone, however players may not have to purchase anything to get these skins. As reported before, all players will need to do is sign up for the Galaxy Cup tournament with an account at or above level 15. There is some uncertainty about whether or not this promotion will ultimately extend to everyone on Fortnite or only those who have a Samsung Galaxy phone, but the website where players can redeem rewards only asks that players create a Samsung account....

Responding to a fan on Twitter, Epic Games community coordinator Sean Hamilton revealed that the Bouncer Traps were removed from Fortnite due to the “influx of recent mobility items” that have been added to the game. These mobility items include things like the Shockwave Grenades, the Grappler, and Rift-to-Gos, all of which provide players with unique ways to get across the battle royale map as fast as possible. While some fans may still be disappointed that Bouncer Traps have been removed from Fortnite, that doesn’t mean that they will be gone forever....

In a truly bizarre feat of cross-promotion, Fortnite has added “Weezer World” as a featured island to the game’s Creative hub. Adorned with the band’s ‘W’ logo, the Weezer-inspired theme park features a host of activities and references to Weezer’s music, including a jukebox that exclusively plays songs from the popular rock band. Interestingly enough, the jukebox can be heard playing four songs previously unavailable to the public from Weezer’s upcoming The Black Album, giving fans of the band a chance to get an early glimpse of their new music....

The Outer Worlds is another game that has garnered positive reviews, especially for fans of Obsidian Entertainment’s past work. The Outer Worlds is a first-person shooter RPG with lots of dark humor sprinkled throughout the game. It was originally released in October 2019 but got two DLC packs as well. It was revealed at E3 this year that The Outer Worlds 2 is currently in development, though the satirical trailer remarked there wasn’t much to show for it yet....

Players who have been with the game for a long time know that originally Fortnite would update with seasons.
