The report is unsettling. On September 7, the U.K. divorce site revealed that so far in 2018, 200 U.K. couples have filed for divorce due to a spouse’s addiction to Fortnite and other games. While there are few known details, the report seems to single out video game addiction as being a mental illness, following the World Health Organization previously establishing gaming addiction as a public health concern. Fortnite released in July 2017, but was slow to gain traction....

It’s been confirmed by Epic Games that the Fortnite Fortnitemares 2019 event will go live on October 29 at 9am ET, so just some odd hours from the time of this writing. What’s unclear at this point, however, is exactly all Fortnitemares 2019 will entail. For example, we don’t know if the monsters will be coming back this year or if there will be some other kind of limited-time mode to celebrate Halloween instead....

By using this short guide, Fortnite players will learn how to find suppressed weapons and deal fast damage with them. Fans will know a weapon is suppressed by the weapon title. Whether it’s a sniper rifle, pistol, or assault rifle, the gun name will have the words “Suppressed” in front of it, making it rather simple for players to recognize. Fortnite: How to Get Son Gohan & Piccolo Skins Players that are interested in adding the Son Gohan or Piccolo Outfit to their Lockers in Fortnite must turn their attention to the in-game Item Shop. While this challenge seems like it has a fairly obvious solution, the problem is some Fortnite players may not know how to get a tomato to begin with. As we saw with golf balls and basketballs last season, tomatoes are actually a toy emote that players have to unlock by completing Battle Pass tiers, with the tomato available at tier 28. Anyone that has completed the bulk of the previous weeks’ challenges should already have tier 28 unlocked or be close to it, so getting the tomato is just a matter of time....

If Fortnite detects that a player is attempting to enter a competitive event in more than one region, or is caught entering on multiple accounts, they will be given an automated warning for attempting an “illegal restart.” Given that many players were unaware of this rule change, Epic has chosen to be lenient about it, and clarified what the rule is and how it affects Fortnite players, on Twitter....

You won’t be able to unlock the secret Battle Star if you have not completed the challenges and did not unlock the above loading screen....

Players who logged into Fortnite today will have seen the new Message of the Day teasing a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) called Disco Domination. The message is more of a teaser than a full rundown of the mode, saying that players will “Capture and defend Dance Floors around the island using emotes to earn points.” Although the exact player count has yet to be disclosed, it’s not hard to imagine the mayhem that could ensue if Disco Domination is a 50 versus 50 player mode or if players are able to play in squads....

Just earlier this week, players began reporting a new Season 6 bug that made it impossible to see when in the Storm, either making it difficult for them to find their way back to the safe zone, or causing them to lose fights. This also raised issues with PC players’ ability to turn on Performance Mode, which seemingly gets rid of the issue entirely, though players on other platforms can do no such thing....

According to a post from reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, players can expect to fight a version of Midas while wearing their new Wolverine outfits. Midas was all the rage a few seasons back when he was added to the game, with the gold-obsessed character being seen everywhere for a time. This new, NPC version will supposedly have a gold scar, though this could easily be a placeholder that is replaced with a ghastlier mark that fits the Halloween spirit....
