There are two locations where players can find the Spirit Vessel, a gray vase with purple markings. Players can find one of them to the west of Dirty Docks and another northwest of Weeping Woods. This guide will specifically go over the location west of Dirty Docks. Players can choose either location –there’s no difference.

Where to Find Shadow Stone to Recover Spirit Vessel in Fortnite Season 8
Players will find one of the vessels to the west of Dirty Docks, but once they go up to the vase, it cannot be interacted with in any way. That’s because Fortnite players will need to get their hands on a nearby Shadow Stone first. In the image below, the red circle on the left is where the Shadow Stones can be found. They are glowing purple cubes that are on the ground near the purple floating pathways.
The cube can be consumed, and players will now be able to Phase by pressing the left trigger on the controller. This gives the player a slight speed boost and can help them go up steep hills and mountains. Once players are in possession of the Shadow Stone’s power, they need to go back to the Spirit Vessel and interact with it. This will complete the quest and earn players 2.7K XP.
Players can continue with the Dark Jonesy questline for the Fortnitemares event or perhaps check out the returning LTM mode called Horde Rush. In it, players can team up with friends to take down the Cube Monsters and survive until the final epic boss fight.
