Chapter 4 brought tons of new content to Fortnite. Just like in many chapter resets, most weapons were vaulted and replaced with new ones. What some players may not know is that not all of this chapter’s weapons can be obtained by collecting loot from the floor and chests. This guide will talk about the Mythic Ageless Champion’s Ex-Caliber Rifle - a weapon that can only be found under certain circumstances - those interested in getting it should keep reading to learn more.

How To Obtain The Mythic Ageless Champion’s Ex-Caliber Rifle

Just like last season, the map has a powerful boss that players can face to try and win rare loot. The Herald posed a serious threat during Chapter 3 Season 4 and now it’s time to battle the Ageless Champion - this time the map’s boss isn’t the bonus skin, it’s part of the Battle Pass and can be unlocked last.

Gamers have to find and successfully take down the Ageless Champion if they would like to collect his Mythic rarity Ex-Caliber Rifle.

The Ageless Champion wanders The Citadel named location, he’s this POI’s guardian and will try to protect it at all costs. Just like previous bosses in Fortnite maps, this is a hostile type of AI which means that it will attack players as soon as it spots them. He’s the only character currently in the game to attack unprovoked; players won’t have to worry about NPCs on the map being aggressive without a reason.

The Ageless Champion has a lot of health but he won’t be as hard to take down as The Herald. He’s much slower and there’s no special way to eliminate him either. To defeat him, players have to make sure that they’re at max health and have good loot and a decent amount of ammo. Explosives such as grenades, the Snowball Launcher, and the Rocket Launcher work the best when it comes to fighting characters since they don’t know how to protect themselves from these hits.

It can be tough to defeat this character but it’s definitely worth it. The Mythic Ex-Caliber Rifle is extremely powerful and it’s the only weapon that can fully eliminate a player at full health in the Zero Build game mode. It deals 187 headshot damage and once the shot hits, it causes explosive projectiles to bounce off of it and these will deal an additional 75 damage.

Fortnite is available for Mac, Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
