The official confirmation of the Obi-Wan Kenobi skin comes after initially teasing the character in a trailer aptly released on May the 4th, better known as Star Wars Day. The trailer primarily focused on the temporary return of a few different Star Wars weapons, ending with a partial shot of the lone Jedi.

How to Get Obi-Wan Kenobi Skin in Fortnite

One of the most recognizable characters of the entire franchise, Star Wars fans will likely want to get access to the Force user as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the only way to currently unlock Obi-Wan Kenobi is to wait until he becomes available in the item shop on Thursday, May 26 at 8 pm ET.

Well-equipped for his exile on Tatooine, Obi-Wan comes with a bevy of accessories, including the Desert Essentials Back Bling, Obi-Wan’s Blade Pickaxe, Jedi Interceptor Glider, and Obi-Wan’s Message Emote.

Purchasable separately, players who opt for the bundle will also receive the Kenobi, Surrounded Loading Screen.

Those who logged into Fortnite over the weekend had the opportunity to unlock the Obi-Wan skin early, thanks to the Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup.

A Duos tournament, players had the opportunity to play up to ten matches within their respective region’s three-hour window, with top performers scoring the new cosmetics for free. The tournament also saw the return of Lightsabers and the E-11 Blaster Rifle, which had otherwise since been vaulted. The tournament is now over, having taken place on May 22, but only a few days remain until he’s in the item shop.

Obi-Wan Kenobi joins an ever-growing roster of Star Wars characters in Fortnite. It appears this iteration of the character is as he appears in the upcoming eponymous Disney+ series, marking a continuing trend with characters from the iconic sci-fi franchise.

The Boba Fett skin is as he appears in The Book of Boba Fett, as do the most recent additions of Fennec Shand and Krrsantan. With more Star Wars shows in the pipeline for the streaming service, players can likely expect accompanying Fortnite skins to follow suit.

While there are just a few days left until players can play as Obi-Wan Kenobi, another sci-fi legend just became available. The legendary protagonist RoboCop, appearing in his original 1987 form, is now available in Fortnite.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
