Fortnite is all about grinding XP to get to a higher level during the season and receive all the Battle Pass rewards available (Bonus Rewards included). So, knowing how to increase one’s account level is crucial in this game for those that like to collect everything there is to collect. This guide will go over everything players need to know about increasing their season and account level.

Season Level And Account Level

There is a difference between a player’s account level and their season level. The season level is based on the number of experience points that the player has acquired since the first day of the season. The account level is the sum of the player’s level count over all seasons since the launch of the game. Players have to raise their season level to increase their account level.

In the Play tab is where the season level will appear, on the left side of the screen, above “new quests” or above the player in the center, next to their username. To check their account level, players will have to go to the Career tab; the account level number is displayed on the right side of the screen, below the V-Bucks count.

How To Gain Account Levels

It’s important to learn about gaining levels in Fortnite because every time the season level counter goes up in-game, players will be rewarded with 5 Battle Stars. Battle Stars is one of the currencies in the game, it can be exchanged for rewards in the Battle Pass. And, once the Battle Pass is completed, players can move on to the Bonus Rewards tab which is a bonus section in the Battle Pass for those that make it through to level 100 and desire a little more challenge.

It’s possible to gain XP - and consequently account levels - in all sorts of ways in Fortnite. It’s not just the Battle Royale mode that will grant experience points to help players increase their season levels. There’s more to the levels system than meets it’s the eye. Keep reading to dive further into this matter and learn more.

Battle Royale Quests

In the Battle Royale game mode, players can earn experience points by completing quests and if they reach a certain amount of completed quests, they’ll even earn some bonus XP to congratulate them on their progress. These are the type of quests that players can expect to see each season.

Special Limited-time Event Quests

Special events will occur occasionally, but they’re time-limited and will only last about a week or two. Nevertheless, it’s still a great way to get a few thousand XP.

Unfortunately, there’s no way of telling when there’s going to be an event. And it’s not possible to know how much XP players will be able to earn with these quests, each event is different from the last one.

Level Up Quest Packs

A month before the end of a Fortnite season is usually when a Level Up Quest Pack is released. This is a type of pack aimed at players that want to increase their account level quickly before the end of the season. They come with a few cosmetic items but most importantly Level Up Quest Packs provide an easy way for players to increase their account and season level by seven levels each week for four weeks, adding up to a total of 28 levels within a month.

At the moment Ayida’s Level Up Quest Pack is available in the Special Offers & Bundles section of the Item Shop. Gamers that haven’t had a chance to grind out their Battle Pass now have a chance to quickly reach level 100 and get the Spider-Gwen skin.

Creative Game Modes

In the Discovery tab, besides the Battle Royale modes, there are tons of Creative maps that players can enjoy. And, some of these games are actually great ways to earn XP; if a Creative game has the XP Accolades marker, it means that players can earn experience points by completing certain match-exclusive milestones.

When entering a Creative mode map be sure to see if there’s an “XP” symbol underneath its title, if it does then it has active XP Accolades and it’s worth giving it a try. Death runs tend to be popular since they feature reward XP coins as players get to a higher level of the run.

Save The World Game Mode

Save The World is another available Fortnite game mode. It’s a strategic action shooter in which players have to defend their base and defeat zombie hordes as they go. This might not be known to all players but Save The World storyline missions actually grant Battle Pass rewards.

When a mission comes to an end, and it’s time to open the reward chests, a purple XP reward can appear at the end, and it will transfer over to the Battle Royale game mode. This is a great way to incentivize players to give this other game mode a shot.

Chrome Punk Outfit

Players that log into Fortnite before November 15, 2022, will have the opportunity to get a free skin if they gain 50 account levels before January 1, 2023. It might sound like a lot, but it can be done with a little motivation, plus, with these tips, it shouldn’t be a problem. The quest will be automatically added to the player’s Quest section and if they manage to increase their account by this much before the deadline, the Chrome Punk outfit will be added to their locker.

The more levels the player earns, the more rewards they’ll unlock. These are the Chrome Punk rewards that are available:

Fortnite is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
