As seen in the tweet below from the official Fortnite Twitter account, Epic Games discovered that Remote Explosives weren’t causing any damage to structures after the blast initially dealt out damage to any players in the area. With this being the case, the development team has decided to pull the objects for the time being until the underlying problem in the game’s code is discovered and eliminated.

While Remote Explosives will be on the sidelines for the moment, Fortnite fans still have a slew of fresh weaponry with which to get acquainted, as Epic Games has expanded the in-game armory by adding the new Compact SMG. However, some players are complaining that the recently included firearm is too OP. With this being the case, it will be interesting to see if developers decide to nerf the gun in the future.

All things considered, Remote Explosives experts will hopefully manage to rely on Fortnite Battle Royale’s other weapons that go boom in the night (and day) until Epic Games is able to determine what the problem is regarding the disabled item’s glitched damage output. With any luck, the developer will be able to patch the issue and have Remote Explosives become active again soon.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and iOS devices. A launch on Android is expected for summer 2018.
