The best Augments in Fortnite can give players many different advantages throughout the Battle Royale game ensuring that a Victory will be theirs. Augments are random throughout each game, unique to different players, but each features a great advantage that the player should utilize.
9 Soaring Sprints
“Keeping your Energy up while you move is important.” Low gravity is a pretty important mechanic when one is trying to get from point A to point B while avoiding fall damage and gunfire galore. Soaring Sprints allows for each jump to have a low gravity effect, as long as the player jumps while sprinting. An effective counter to that of the Shockwave Hammer.
Effectively, this means that players can leap off of cliffs and buildings with little concern for breaking their legs and eliminating themselves, as in lower gravity, there is no fall damage to be had. It also allows for greater heights in their jumps.
8 First Assault
“Aim carefully after reloading.” Make every shot count, especially when it’s the first of the magazine. Assault rifles are a great weapon to use in the arsenal of a Fortnite player. They have decent range, damage, and rate of fire. First Assault will mean that the first bullet in the magazine of an AR will deal bonus damage, causing pain to those with lesser accuracy.
If players miss this shot, they can always just reload and get the first bullet back, meaning every first shot needs to be aimed carefully and hit its mark for the best effective way of killing other players in Fortnite, no matter the skin.
7 Chug Gunner
“You won’t be needing a Medic if you have this.” Sometimes, augments can be life savers. Literally. Chug Gunner will place a Chug Cannon in the inventory of the player, with a fully charged amount of shots, players will quickly be able to spam the Chug Cannon to heal themselves or their team.

It’s a great use of support, as the Chug Cannon can be fired at teammates with great range and tracking, for 20 health or armor. However, it takes up two slots, and there are plenty of other meds in Fortnite.
6 Bush Warrior
“Take a rest in different types of foliage that hide you.” Throughout the majority of Fortnite Chapter 2 and Chapter 3, Bush camping was a reviled but effective tactic. Players could store their entire squad in a bush, and see the world from within the leaves, yet, they would not be seen themselves.
Bush Warrior takes this to the extreme, as bush campers are rewarded with regenerative health and shields while inside large foliage. This means that they will heal pretty quickly inside a bush, for a maximum of 100 health and 50 shields.
5 Tactical Armory
“Inventory feeling light? Stock up with these.” This combat augment is great for not only getting the best weapons fast but for having total access to the Combat Shotgun and Combat AR. These weapons were utterly infamous in Fortnite, and have not been seen since Chapter 1, and for good reason, they’re pretty good in the right hands.

The Combat AR is decent, but with high recoil and other guns boasting of scope, it’s not the main focus. What shines is the Combat Shotgun, with a rapid rate of fire, range, and set of damage, this Shotgun will tear through opponents.
4 Storm Mark
“If you also know where the storm is going…” Everyone has been there before, where one is safely traversing through the zone, only to have a team of Bush campers or corner campers rush at the players to cause an elimination, and start the loop to the Victory Royale all over again. Thanks to Forecast, that issue should be limited.
Players will be able to see their enemies, highlighted through a red outline and red triangle above their head, as long as they are in the small vicinity. This activates after the storm changes, pinging the area so players will be aware of their hostile surroundings for a short time.
3 Splash Medic
“Who should open containers on your squad?” With Splash Medic, players will have a high chance to find a Chug Splash in any container they open. This could be chests, fruit and vegetable containers, ammo crates, or anything opened by the player, and a Chug Splash could be theirs for the taking.
Considering that Chug Splashes is one of the best healing items in the game, Splash Medic is a brilliant addition and will have players constantly splashing themselves with that delicious 20 health or shield boost for themselves or their team.
2 Bloodhound
“Become a marking specialist.” Everyone has had that one teammate that just refuses to tag enemies, whether it’s on the map, or hitting their target. Thanks to Bloodhound, players that shoot at their enemies with a marksman rifle or a bow shot will have said enemy marked for their team for a decent duration of time.
Highlighting the player red, this target becomes bright as day, with members of the team able to see when this marked player is hiding or healing, making it all the easier to track them down and eliminate them for that Victory Royale in Fortnite.
1 Forecast
“Knowing where to go is great, but also knowing where your enemies are is better.” The storm can be a fickle Mistress, and many times will players hunker down at a location in the zone, only for it to be miles from where the next zone is. Positioning is key in Fortnite, and Forecast will help players stay one step ahead.
With Forecast, players will always be able to see the radius of the next storm circle, meaning they will forever stay a step ahead, as they will know where to go and when to get there, perfect for setting up defenses for opposing teams.
Fortnite is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
