As seen in the screenshot below from the Fortnite fan and Redditor known as “JDFive”, the 5 teams of 20 game mode for Battle Royale currently lacks an official release date, but Epic Games has listed it as “coming soon.” While many would consider the title to already be hectic enough, it will definitely be interesting to see just how players’ strategies work and evolve throughout the course of the mode’s availability. Fortnite fans can also check out the mode’s announce trailer further below.
For those unaware, this 5 teams of 20 mode for Fortnite Battle Royale won’t be the first instance of Epic Games and People Can Fly adding a way for players to squad up in massive numbers on the island map. As a matter of fact, the companies unveiled a 50 versus 50 Last Team Standing mode and implemented it within the multiplayer sandbox survival title for a short period of time for players to enjoy.
All things considered, Fortnite Battle Royale’s forthcoming 5 teams of 20 mode will likely become a popular gameplay avenue for fans to explore, as it has the potential to order and organize the chaos of the title in way that the aforementioned 50v50 mode couldn’t. Should the development team implement improvements such as one being able to locate all of their team members on a map by way of a marker, color, or symbol of some kind, then there will likely be some epic forts built and legendary firefights that take place within the mode.
Fortnite is available now in early access for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
