Epic Games’ infinitely popular free-to-play shooter just wrapped up its annual Fortnitemares Halloween event for 2022. The yearly seasonal event saw the island get an overlay with plenty of spooky decorations, as well as the addition of several horror-themed POIs and the new werewolf power-bestowing Howler Claws. While the claws may be gone, players have some equally powerful items to replace them this week.

Running until November 8, 2022 at 9 AM ET, Fortnite’s Skywalker Week puts the focus on the iconic trio from the original trilogy, with all three newly available in the Item Shop. All three come with a Pickaxe and Back Bling, with Luke’s including his X-34 Landspeeder as a Glider (something that can also now be summoned via the unvaulted Junk Rift.) In addition to the Star Wars cosmetics, players will be able to earn extra XP by completing a series of special quests for using various Star Wars items, of which there are several back on the island.

The most notable weapon to be returning to Fortnite are Lightsabers. Specifically, players will be able to acquire Luke’s blue or green Lightsaber via Imperial or Regular Chests, or as floor loot. Darth Vader has returned to the island once again, meaning players who manage to defeat him can wield his throwable red Lightsaber as well. Stormtroopers are also making a return, along with their trusty E-11 Blaster Rifles which can be acquired in the same way it was during this year’s May the 4th celebration. The Pulse Rifle also returns this week, available on the ground and in Chests.

Although Halloween may be over this year, Fortnite is keeping a thread of spooky content going through the end of the year. Taking over the spot of DJ Lyka - who was featured at the Reality Tree during this year’s Fortnitemares event - the jack-o-lantern-headed Chrome Punk now takes the spotlight, with Chrome Punk Goals challenging players to level up their accounts certain amounts for a Back Bling, loading screen, and ultimately the Chrome Punk outfit.

While the current Fortnite season isn’t expected to end for another month or so, rumors suggest the next update between seasons will be a big one. According to a report, Fortnite is taking its servers completely offline after its Chapter 3 Season 4 end event, suggesting some substantial changes are in store for the game.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
